Welcome to Our In-Home Lessons!

We believe that no two people are exactly alike when it comes to learning music, and that personal attention can help to motivate and inspire students of any age. Our teachers are experts* at connecting with students and motivating them to be better musicians, whether they would like to pursue music as a career or as a fun hobby. We have a customer service-oriented approach to music education, which helps enable students to excel on their instruments.

We offer private music lessons on virtually all instruments, on all levels, and in a variety of styles (including classical, jazz, rock, and blues). In addition, many instructors teach music theory and/or composition.

* All String Sound Studios Music instructors must do a live interview at our Setauket Studio, where they are evaluated with respect to music education, communication, and business skills. They also must provide references in order to be considered, and we always perform a thorough background check before we hire them.
